What the Helsinki Card includes

The Helsinki Card gives you access to over 25 museums, sights and tours in Helsinki, each free to visit once. On top of that, you get discounts with 20+ further partners, from SEA LIFE and Korkeasaari Zoo to restaurants. The card also includes HSL public transport in zones AB (see the Public Transport page for details). Buy once and walk straight into all included venues without queuing to buy tickets.

The standout highlights

The Rock Church (Temppeliaukio) was blasted directly into the granite bedrock and is Helsinki's most photographed building. On the Suomenlinna sea fortress, which spans six islands, the card includes the guided tour, the Suomenlinna Museum and, in summer, the submarine Vesikko - the ferry there is covered by the HSL ticket. Art lovers will want to visit the Ateneum, Finland's national gallery, the underground Amos Rex and Kiasma for contemporary art.

For an overview of the city, the summer months bring the Hop-on Hop-off double-decker bus with 14 stops, while winter is served by the guided Panoramic City Bus Tour. The boat cruises show you Helsinki's coastline and archipelago from the water.

Additional museums and sights are included, along with discounts on activities, restaurants and shops - for example at SEA LIFE, SkyWheel and Korkeasaari Zoo (the zoo offers a discount, not free entry). The National Museum of Finland is closed for renovation until 2027. The exact selection of attractions can vary seasonally - check the current offer in the booking window.

Is it worth it?

Each included attraction can be visited once free of charge, and tours and cruises can be used as many times as you like during the card's validity. Combining Suomenlinna with one or two museums and a city tour in a single day will quickly cover the cost of the card. Opening hours and seasonal availability can vary - check with the individual venue if in doubt.
